Existential Combustion

That’s why we’re so damn good.

I’m not condoning this, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m fairly certain the majority of states find themselves in war or conflict more often than not. This is a world issue.

Wrong- since the U.S is a major culprit (if not the dominate culprit) of terrorism, violence, war, aggression, and imperialism in the odern world today it would make sense that war is just a matter course for maintaining that dominance.
War is not a natural state of a society, it is the direct result of a world run by a small minority of elites (the ruling political, military, and business class) who intend to secure their interests through violence, suppression, manipulation, and expansion of their influence over the rest of human race.

Since clearly the mainstream media doesn’t do shit for truths telling & they’re reporting that these cats in Chitown are terrorists who wanted to bomb places, lemme show ya these.

Yesterday afternoon (before charges were filed against Church, Chase, and Betterly) the National Lawyers Guild released photos of the damage at the Bridgeport home that was illegally raided by police on the 16th. And the supposed incendiary device or claims of molotov cocktails— that equipment pictured is for beer!

A comrade in Occupy Oakland who was arrested at a march in the beginning of January had his bail set at almost $600,000 for carrying an emergency flair in his backpack because the police twisted it as an incendiary device that he was gonna use to harm others.

THIS IS WHAT REPRESSION LOOKS LIKE.

WTF?

ATTENTION: TUMBLR USERS IN NORTH CAROLINA

The North Carolina General Assembly has introduced a constitutional amendment to the North Carolina State Constitution which would “provide that marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this State.”

  • Voting on the amendment is TODAY.
  • Voting hours are 6:30am to 7:30pm.

Aside from the obvious discriminatory nature of the amendment, it is poorly worded and thought out and would harm the rights of ALL couples — no more civil unions and a loss of rights for any unwed couples.

Remember to vote ‘AGAINST’ this amendment.

  • Check if you are registered to vote and find your sample ballot, as well as your polling location, here

White House releases “Progress For The LGBT Community” infographic

The White House just published an inforgraphic that overviews the progress of LGBT Americans. @BarackObama tweeted: “From safer schools to ending #DADT, take a look at three years of progress for LGBT Americans.”

From their post:

“Three years ago, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was the law of the land, and the words “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender” appeared nowhere in the federal register.

Today, gay and lesbian men and women can serve their country without hiding who they are. The Obama administration has declared the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional, and the President is working to make our schools safer for LGBT youth.

As we celebrate three years of progress for LGBT Americans under President Obama — and work toward another four — here’s a look at how far we’ve come since the President took office.”

Am I the only one who thinks these measures are only piece-meal nodsto make the Human Rights Organization (aka the LGBTQ lobbying arm the democratic party) happy?

It’s meaningful progress don’t get me wrong, but Obama seems to be going about it in a very strategic sense and is avoiding the major issues of the LGBTQ community in favor of “let’s give them (since we’re so generous)….. a handful of rights. You know? Out the hundreds that everyone is granted automatically”.

I really enjoy Berserk for the cult-classic that it is. I like the small fan base and the intimacy it has with it’s readers. So I’m torn about the new popularity Berserk might receive with the release of the new movies. Of course I’m all for steady budget so that more movies may come out, but will the new fans drive me up a wall? Also the less shipped fan fiction of GutsxGriffith, the better.

Small fanbase? Berserk is a worldwide mega hit and has been for over a decade with a major following. The anime adaptation could be considered a cult-classic simply due to its original limited success/budget and now growing popularity with the films being released. And frankly, following Berserk tumblr accounts has already gotten me annoyed and drive up the the wall by the fans. Go to the Skullknight forums sometime, it will make you despise humanity as a whole.

Two Men Arrested After Protesting St. Petersburg's Antigay Law

projectqueer:

Nikolai Alekseev ARRESTED X390 (SOURCED) | ADVOCATE.COM

Two gay activists stood up against St. Petersburg’s draconian new antigay law and were promptly arrested.

Alexei Kiselyov and Cyril Nepomnyashiy staged individual protests Thursday in front of the Palace of Youth Creativity. Holding signs saying “Gay — this is normal,” the men voiced anger at the city’s new antigay law, which bans “propaganda of homosexuality to minors” but is widely seen as an indictment of anything LGBT-related.

The two activists face up to 15 days in prison for taking part in a “public event that was not authorized by the city authorities and of disobeying the lawful demands of police officers,” according to GayRussia. The men will be represented in court by prominent Russian LGBT activist Nikolai Alekseev.

“They are only trying to convey to the public capital scientific truth that homosexuality is not a disease but a natural and normal sexual orientation,” Alekseev told Gay Star News. “But yesterday’s arrests show that this prohibition is being broadly construed, enforcing the denial of the right of freedom of expression for LGBT people.”
